    Delightful! One question: was the piano teacher’s story consistent with Chopin’s intended message for the piece? Thank you for the Valentine’s respite!

      Hi Suzanne, most of my piano teacher’s stories were made up or drawn from a personal context. I think it unlikely that this one had anything to do with Chopin’s original intentions. However it did make things for us students, particularly the younger ones, a lot more interesting. Glad you enjoyed it!
