BOMBAY CUTTING CHAI
Bombay never sleeps. And to help people pause in this fast-paced life, chai comes as a rescue. It’s also the place where the concept of cutting chai arrived. In literal translation, cutting means a half-cup of chai. Cutting chai in Bombay is the lifeline of Bombay.

Bombay Cutting Chai From high-end corporate offices to small shop owners located in the narrow lanes, chaiwallah delivers the same chai in the small glasses juggling in the vintage cutting glass stand. More than a beverage, chai is an emotion here. When you dip bun maska in it with your partner at an Irani/Parsi cafe or be it the first bite of street-side vada pav or samosa at a local stall under the pouring rain, a cup of chai is all that makes Bombay unforgettable.

Inspired by the bustling city, we have crafted a blend, Bombay Cutting Masala Chai. This blend celebrates the amalgamation of different cultures and emotions in Bombay with a mix of chai, ginger, cardamom, and fennel. The spicy ginger, pleasant cardamom, and soothing aroma of fennel mix incredibly well to make a refreshing cup of Bombay Cutting Masala Chai.

KASHMIRI KESAR GULAB CHAI
Many believe that the valley of Kashmir is like a live painting. With breathtaking scenery all around, there is no doubt a place more beautiful than this.

Kashmiri chai

Breathing in nature with a shikara passing over quiet water of Dal lake, with a hot Kangri kept inside Phiran, relishing the snow at Gulmarg or an excursion in Nishat garden, Kashmir stays with you, years after you visit. The gardens here paint a picturesque beauty and at the same time produce delicate spices. Grown at an altitude of about 5200 ft. the valley produces one of the most expensive and rarest saffron in the world. And the incredible soft roses that grow are naturally light scented.

Our Kashmiri Kesar Gulab Chai is the representation of the everlasting beauty of the valley. Blended with chai, picked saffron strands from the valley, delicate rose petals, and aromatic green cardamom, it’s a cup of chai that blooms with rich flavors. Saffron brings intense color, aroma, and a unique flavor while rose brings a calming effect coupled with soothing green cardamom. Be it the morning, afternoon, or evening our blend is made for all timings, an ode to the Kashmiri chai ritual that runs all day long. Sip on a heavenly cup of chai!

As you start to enjoy the rains and the backwaters, a look around for a cup of cardamom chai is inevitable, making you arrive at a Chai Kada. Chai Kadas are small chai stalls situated at every corner of the state. Along with chai, Pazham Pori, and Bonda, the local snacks from the state, are everyday chai snacks, relished at every bite.

ASSAM MASALA CHAI
No one knows where chai came from, but it’s a well-known fact that Britishers got us into drinking tea. When tea production started in India, most of it was produced in Assam and exported to Britain. As people there were brewing an experiment with a new beverage, they began to like it.

Assam Masala Chai

However, no one knows why they added milk to tea. Some speculate that its taste was too strong for their palate. Hence milk and sugar were added to tea, making it ‘chai’ in the subcontinent. And When they traveled to India, this habit of adding milk was adopted quickly by the Indian traders in Assam and West Bengal. Soon, the tradition of chai started in India. When the Britishers introduced snacks with chai, it became a daily ritual in every household in India. In the coming years, spices were added to chai, making it a masala chai.
Assam Masala Chai is a blend expertly made by our in-house master blenders.
